Renovation of garden apartment in a Georgian townhouse

  • Planning Permission and Listed Building consents for rear extension and new interior layout

  • Extensive research of the local archives helped achieve permission for an extension of a size normally denied on a listed building of this type, with the new steel-framed structure concealed under a wall-to-wall biodiverse green roof. An additional bedroom and en suite were created by moving the kitchen and living room to the new space with large sliding glass doors providing connectivity to the landscaped garden beyond.
